1. BALLET DANCE
Ballet (French: [balɛ]) is a type of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the fifteenth century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia is an art form created by the movement of the human body. It is theatrical – performed on a stage to an audience utilizing costumes, scenic design and lighting. It can tell a story or express a thought, concept or emotion. Ballet dance can be magical, exciting, provoking or disturbing.
2. BALLROOM DANCE
Ballroom dance, The term ‘ballroom dancing’ is derived from the word ball which in turn originates from the Latin word ball are which means ‘to dance’ (a ball-room being a large room specially designed for such dances). In times past, ballroom dancing was social dancing for the privileged, leaving folk dancing for the lower classes.

Hip hop dance is a style of street dance form that evolved from hip hop culture and hip hop music. It borrows elements from a number of different styles like African dance, tap, and ballet. Hip hop dance began as a freestyle dance performed in the streets by dance crews, mostly to hip hop music. The dance’s use of music makes it fun to watch and perform as it can captivate audiences with its mixture of sharp and fluid movements. 5. JAZZ DANCE
Jazz dance is a form of dance that combines both African, European dance styles. This high-energy dance has a liveliness that sets it apart from traditional dance forms, classical ballet. Like jazz music, jazz dance features improvisation. Dancers respond to the music with their body movements, changing their motions with the musicians’ spontaneous instrumental creations.
6. TAP DANCE
Tap dance, style of dance in which a dancer wearing shoes fitted with heel and toe taps sounds out audible beats by rhythmically striking the floor or any other hard surface. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap. Broadway tap focuses on dance; it is widely performed in musical theater.
7. FOLK DANCE
A folk dance is a dance that reflects the life of the people of a certain country or region. Not all ethnic dances are folk dances. Ritual dances or dances of ritual origin are not considered to be folk dances. Ritual dances are usually called “Religious dances” of their purpose. Folk dances are usually performed the respective community’s celebration- childbirth, festivals and weddings, etc.
8. IRISH DANCE
Irish dancing in groups is made up of a number of styles and traditions, which developed from French and English dances and formations. Ceili dance, practised are competitively and socially, is performed by groups of two to sixteen people, and often uses traditional or codified dances and formations. The roots of Irish dancing come from the Celts, the druids who roamed the island. Many of the druids’ religious rituals involved dancing, usually in a circular fashion around sacred trees. The Celts had their own folk dances with similar formations.

Modern dance is a broad genre of western concert, theatrical dance which included dance styles like ballet, folk, ethnic, religious, and social dancing; and primarily arose out of Europe and the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Modern dance is often described as fluid and freeform, alternating between long, languid movements, and jerky ones that show the contraction and expansion of the body. Some dancers create their own unique moves for routines or even use improvisation their performances.

Swing dance is a lively style of social dancing in which a dancer often lifts, spins and flips his or her partner. Considered hip and cool, swing dancing is a favorite among social dancers of all ages. Swing dancing originated in Harlem the 1920s. The dance developed alongside the jazz music of the day.
